Conni_Parkeisenbahn_klein+rundBorn in Jena, Thüringen, I am a molecular biologist educated at the Universities of Heidelberg, Uppsala and Paris VI. I received my PhD in 2012 in the lab of Rolf Jessberger at the Medical Theoretical Center in Dresden investigating molecular events of meiosis in mouse.

In the group of Applied Zoology at the TU Dresden, I now explore aspects of fertility of the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster and the parasitic bedbug Cimex lectularius in respect to metabolism of sperm stored in male and female insects (Sperm Biology Group).
